MSJ Sports & Fitness Centre offers Gymsticks classes. A simple and versatile workout designed to strengthen muscles, increase mobility, and improve posture.
Experience Gymsticks at our friendly Sports Centre situated in the heart of Great Malvern with free parking for members. Attend our weekly sessions to experience the many benefits of Gymsticks and connect with friends old and new.
During your Gymsticks class you will use resistance bands which are a great alternative to weight training. You will be guided every step of the way by one of our trained instructors, Simon, Gabbie, Martin or Sam. If you are new to the class don’t worry, our experienced instructors are there to guide you every step of the way.
BENEFITS OF GYMSTICKS CLASSES
- Improve balance
The unique design of the resistance band, which is linked onto both side of the Gymstick, enables you to improve your body balance through the sticks ability to create a line of pull that is away from the gravitational pull. In turn, this challenges the body and its ability to remain in alignment and it also reduces the risk of injury.
- Increase muscle strength
Repetitive movements with a certain amount of resistance helps increase muscle as well as toning certain areas of the body. Resistance bands workouts involve every part of the body, increasing muscle strength. You’ll find Gymsticks classes help toning in the abdomen, lower back, hips, and buttocks.
- Better posture
Working on your posture is really important as it affects us as we go about our day-to-day activities. Gymsticks can help with stability, flexibility, balance, and strength which all link to our posture. Incorporating Gymsticks into your weekly exercise routines means these exercises begin to get easier with practice and good technique.
